4 c sugar
4 c vinegar
1/2 c pickling salt
1 1/3 tsp tumeric
1 1/3 tsp mustard seed
1 1/3 tsp celery seed
4 onions, sliced thin
Pickling cucumbers, sliced thin

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, vinegar, and spices together. DO NOT HEAT. This syrup is used cold. Use 4 1-qt jars. Slice one onion in each jar and fill with sliced cucumbers. Stir syrup well and pour over cucumbers. Put lids on tightly. Place in refrigerator. Will keep one year if they last that long...
