After cooking chicken, hamburger, sausage, or frying fat back, use:
4 tbsp. drippings
3 tbsp. flour, heaping
salt and pepper to taste
1 quart milk

Brown the first 4 ingredients in a frying pan; slowly add milk, stirring; bring to a boil and thicken. spoon over biscuit, potatoes, tomatoes, cantaloupe. If too thick, thin with water.

My mom always said everyone should know how to make milk gravy. This recipe was passed down to my mom from my dad's mother. Growing up we had milk gravy every day.
