6 ounces beer,
2 eggs,
1/2 tsp. paprika,
1/4 tsp. onion powder (or lemon pepper seasoning),
1/2 c. clam juice,
1/2 tsp. salt,
1/8 tsp. pepper,
1 tbsp sugar,
2 cups flour,
2 tsp. baking powder,
1/2 lb. clams.

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients.
Heat vegetable oil in frying pan (approx. 1 inch deep).
Drop tablespoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry slowly. Turn clamcake over to fry other side.
When golden brown, shake in paper bag to remove grease. Add desired spices into bag.
