1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. chopped pecans
1 t. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. sale

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar with electric mixer until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add nuts and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and mix in. Shape into cylinder shape the diameter of 1 1/2 in. Wrap each roll in waxed paper and refrigerate until ready to bake. Slice into 1/4 in. pieces and bake on greased cookie sheet at 375º for 10-12 mins.
