1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick margarine
2 cans pie filling (cherry, apple, peaches, strawberry - your choice)

Dump pie filling in a 8 x 10 in. cake pan. Spread fruit filling over bottom of pan. Sprinkle all of dry cake mix over top of fruit evenly. Slice margarine in thin slices and lay them on top of cake mix. Bake 30 minutes in a preheated 350 º oven for 30 minutes.
