Turkey Tetrazzini (or chicken) Recipe

1 onion, chopped
1 tbsp butter
1 can, 10 3/4 oz cream of chicken soup
1 can, 10 3/4 oz cream of mushroom soup
1/2 jar, 8 oz sharp process cheese spread, (cheese whiz)
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup water
1 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/8 tsp dried basil
1 7 oz. pkg elbow macaroni, prepared
2 1/2 cups turkey or chicken, cooked and cubed
shredded cheddar cheese

Sauté onions in butter; add soups, cheese spread, milk, water, curry powder, and seasonings. Stir in
macaroni; mix in chicken. Spoon into lightly greased 13 x 9 baking pan. Sprinkle with cheese (and pimentos, if desired). Bake at 350 for 45 minutes
