3 1/2 pounds ripe bananas
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. lemon juice
1/2 cup finely chopped maraschino cherries
1 tsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
1. Thoroughly mash bananas. Measure 4 c. into Dutch oven.

2. Add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well.

3. Bring to a hard, rolling boil, stirring constantly.

4. Reduce heat and simmer gently, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Stir often.

5. Pour into hot pint jars, leaving 1/2 inch head space.

6. Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
