"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1-2 lb. ground beef
1 lb. hot/ or mild Italian sausage
4 sm. cans tomato sauce w/ basil, garlic & oregano
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1-2 tbsp sugar
Parmesan cheese/rornano, if desired, to taste
1 Irg (8 oz. pkg) cream cheese
1 cup sour cream ( 1 cup equals 1/2 container)
mozzarella cheese/ cheddar
lasagna noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Cook hamburger and sausage with onions, garlic, and seasoning to taste. Drain fat. Add Italian
seasoning, sugar, and tomato sauce and simmer on low heat. Mix cream cheese and sour cream and set aside. Grate cheese and set aside. Cook and drain lasagna noodles. In 9 x l3 glass Pyrex dish, start with thin layer of sauce, mostly juice, just to line the pan to prevent sticking. Layer 1/2 of the cooked noodles. Spread on 1/2 of the cream cheese mixture over the noodles. Dallop half of the meat sauce mixture, and a layer of cheese. Repeat layers. Noodles, cream cheese, meat, cheese. Bake at 350 for 30 - 45 minutes until heated through.
Sometimes I make this in a larger 10 x 15 pan. I double the cream cheese (2 pkg) and use the whole carton of sour cream. And, of course, More meat & sauce.
