"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb. Maryland Crab meat (or any crab meat you might have handy)
1 c. seasoned bread crumbs
1 large egg
¼ c. mayo
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. dry mustard
Oil for frying pan

Directions:
Directions:
Mix crab meat, bread crumbs, egg, and mayo in large bowel by hand (or spoon for the squeamish). Add spices to mixture. Form round, patty shaped cakes the size of a small hamburger. Add oil to frying pan so when cakes are placed in they will be ½ to ¾ submerged. Heat oil on medium heat. Once oil is hot fry cakes, approximately 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. (For health conscious individuals try baking cakes at 400 degrees for 15 – 20 minutes checking frequently to ensure they are not over cooked.)
