2-1/2 lbs. top round steak, cut in 1/2" cubes
1/4 cup shortening or oil
1 cup onions, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup flour
1-1/2 tbsp. paprika
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
2 bay leaves
1 can (32 oz.) diced tomatoes
1 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat in oil; add onion and garlic; reduce heat. Blend flour and seasonings. Add tomato's to meat; cover and simmer stirring occasionally until meat is tender, about 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Stir in sour cream; heat through. Serve over homemade or packaged noodles or mashed potatoes.
