2 Granny Smith apples, peeled & quartered
1 can Pillsbury Crescent rolls

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/4 - 1/2 cup margarine
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Place 1 apple quarter on 1 crescent roll; roll up crescent roll to completely cover apple; place in baking dish.
Combine and boil water, sugar, margarine, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
Sprinkle dumplings with additional cinnamon, if desired; pour sugar mixture over dumplings.
Bake 350 for 20 minutes or until crescent roll is done. Baste with sugar mixture 2-3 times while dumplings are cooking.
Serve warm.
