Cook lasagna noodles as directed on the package. Brown beef with onion in skillet. Add tomato paste and sauce, mushrooms, garlic, sweet basil, parsley flakes, 4 t. oregano, 1/8 t. pepper and water.
Simmer one hour. Combine cottage cheese, spinach, salami, egg,
t. salt and 1/8 t. pepper. In 12X8" baking dish alternate layers
of 2 thicknesses of noodles, cottage cheese mixture, meat mixture, and mozzarella cheese, ending with cheese.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and let stand 15 minutes before serving.
* The salami and spinach really make this good. Usually I double
the hamburger and triple the onion. This dish is great to make ahead and freezes well.
