This is an especially good dish to cook following a little husband wife spat!
Step 1 Take a large pot, preferably shiny
Step 2 Salt the outside of the pot.
Step 3 Watch the salt slide off.
Step 4 Butter the pot. Now the salt will stick to it.
Step 5 A little garlic will give the pot some flavor.
Step 6 Preheat oven to 350° and place the pot inside.
Step 7 Test the roasted pot for tenderness by inserting fork into it.
Step 8 Throw away the bent fork.
Step 9 Place the pot roast on a platter and garnish with a few vegetables--preferably rutabagas, radishes, and cauliflower.
Step 10 Serve immediately to your starving husband.
Step 11 Smile sweetly and say, "I hope you like this 'pot' roast because we're having left-overs the rest of the week."
Step 12 Now go buy the dress that caused the husband-wife spat
in the first place.
