1 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup butter or margarine
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Line an 8" square pan with foil, heavily buttered. Set aside.

In a 3 qt. sauce pan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn syrup and butter; bring to a boil stirring constantly. Boil slowly for 4 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat and stir in milk.

Reduce heat to medium low and cook until it reaches 238º, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour into prepared pan; cool. Remove from pan and cut into 1" squares. Wrap in paper.
