Ingredients:  
1 C. Flour
1 Tsp. Shortening
3/4 C. Hot Water
1 Egg (beaten)
2/3 C. Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 C. Molasses
1 unbaked pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour & brown sugar. Cut in shortening til crumbly. Separate 1/2 C. of crumbs for topping.
Dissolve soda in water.
In small bowl, mix molasses, egg and soda water. Beat well.
Pour into unbaked pie crust.
Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top.
Bake at 350º for 35 minutes.
