1 gallon Mt. Olive sour whole pickles
5 pounds sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Drain vinegar out of pickle for 6 to 7 minutes. In a large container slice pickles to desired width. Make layers of pickle, then sugar and so on until pickle is all back in jar. Close lid tightly and let set at room temperature for several hours, Turn upside down until sugar has melted. Refrigerate for extra crispness.
