Directions:
Dissolve 3 1/2 T. yeast in 4 1/4 cups lukewarm water. (Water should be comfortable for a baby's bath). Add the sugar. I like it sweet but you may decrease the sugar if you want. Let sit for 10 minutes. Once yeast has bubbled, add 6 cups of flour. Add oil, eggs and salt. Turn mixer on for 1-2 minutes. Add the rest of the flour. Turn mixer on for 10 minutes. Let dough rest for 10 minutes. Turn mixer on for 1 more minute. Transfer dough to a large bowl. Shmearb a little oil over the dough and cover with a warm towel. Let rise for 1 1/2 hours. Take challah & make bracha. Braid challahs. Let rise another 1/2 hour. Brush challas with egg mixed with a bit of vanilla sugar!!!! Yes, that's my secret ingredient!!!! Bake for 45 min.- 1 hour.
