Ingredients: Meringue: 6 egg whites 2 cups sugar 1 tsp white vinegar 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/8 tsp salt
Filling: 6 oz chocolate chips 1 cup miniature marshmallows 5 oz evaporated milk 2 cups heavy cream

Directions: |
Directions:Make meringue the day before: Beat egg whites until frothy - gradually add sugar and vinegar - beat 10 minutes (until stiff) and add vanilla.
Cut brown paper bags to fit a 9 x 13 pan (2 pieces) and place on cookie sheet. Divide Meringue in half and spread on paper. Bake at 275º for 40 minutes or until firm. Let cool in oven. Store covered with silver foil overnight.
Chocolate filling: combine chocolate bits, marshmallows and evaporated milk over low/med heat until blended. Let cool.
Beat heavy cream til stiff and combine with cooled chocolate filing.
Make Torte: Start with meringue and add half of the chocolate filling then add the remaining meringue and chocolate filling. Refrigerate. |
