"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

1 tsp vinegar
1 egg (beaten)
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Mix flour and shortening until consistency of small pebbles. Beat egg, add water, salt and vinegar. Add this mixture to the flour mixture. Mix until pie crust consistency. Roll out. Makes 2 double crusts. If I don’t use all of this at one time, I place in freezer and un-thaw for use later. It freezes well.
