6 cups strawberries (halved)
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp corn starch (diluted with small amt of water)
pie crust
1 sm tub cool whip or whipped topping

Directions:
Directions:
Set aside half of your nicest berries - arrange them in a pre baked pie crust. In another bowl mix 3 cups of berries (halved) and let the stand in sugar several hours to form juice. Separate juice from berries, add lemon juice, almond and vanilla and bring to boil. Add cornstarch mixture to thicken - stir. When juice is cool, stir in cold berries then pour into pie crust over your nicest berries.

Serve with cool whip or whip topping.
