2 - 28 oz. cans of Hunts Whole Tomatoes or fresh home canned tomatoes
2 cans of shoepeg corn or 3 ears fresh corn on the cob
2 cans Lesueur Peas
3 small quart bags of fresh butterbeans
2 cups carrots cubed
2 cups potatoes cubed
2 cups onions chopped
2 cups celery sliced
2 cups cabbage sliced very thin
1 - 1.25 lbs stir fry cut in small pieces
1 lb hamburger
1 - 1.5 lbs fresh okra (frozen can also be used)
7 - 14 oz cans Swanson's Chicken Broth
6 - 14 oz cans Swanson's Beef Broth

Brown hamburger is separate pan and put to side. Boil cut up stir fry in a small pot and put to side. In a big pot add the tomatoes (cored and mashed), then add chicken broth, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, cabbage, peas, butterbeans, corn. Bring to boil. Next add the browned hamburger and the stir fry including the liquid. Simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour. Add okra after 35 minutes of cooking.

Note: Can always add more chicken/beef broth or another small can of tomatoes if needed. Also this recipe was never made measuring anything so you may increase or decrease items as you like.

This recipe is my mom's, Mary Boone (daughter-in-law of Floyd and Mary Boone). My son Wyatt had always called my mom 'MaMoose' from the time he started talking and it just stuck. He loved her homemade soup. It is especially good when it starts to get cold outside.
