1 full chicken, cut up in pieces, bone in
1 cup flour
Salt & pepper to taste
Bacon grease (critical if you want to capture Gram's flavor)

Wash chicken, pat dry with paper towel, the salt & pepper. Dredge chicken pieces in flour. Heat a fair amount of bacon grease in skillet (not too much--it's not deep frying). Pre-heat oven to 350. Brown chicken pieces in grease, drain them on paper towel. Transfer chicken to an oven-proof pan in oven; Continue to bake in oven for 30 minutes.
