1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar
2 eggs 2 T. cocoa
4 T. milk 1 c. flour
1 c. nuts 1 t.vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks. Cream cocoa with enough hot water to make a paste. Add to mixture.Add milk and flour.Add vanilla. Fold in stiff egg whites.
Bake 25 minutes at 350
Double for jelly roll pan

This is mother's recipe.mine never turn out as good as hers. Frost with chocolate butter cream, with a little coffee added
