1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 Tbls. melted fat
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
flour to roll

Directions:
Directions:
Put a little ginger in fat to fry also. This prevents the fat from soaking into the doughnuts.

Mix together all the ingredients, then roll 1/2-inch thick on a slightly floured surface, and cut with a doughnut cutter.

Fry until golden brown.
