1 c. scalded milk, 1 c. warm water, 4 tsp yeast,1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. sugar,2 beaten eggs ,5 c. flour, 1/2 tsp nutmeg,or 1/2 tsp lemon juice,1 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
scald milk, pour over shortening,sugar,& salt. dissolve yeast in water. when milk is cooled, add yeast,beaten eggs and flour. beat wel. place in greased bowl until doubled in bulk. divide dough into two halves, roll into oblong pieces. spread with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. roll and cut into 1" slices place 1" apart on greased pan. flatten with palm of hand. bake at 350 until light brown . may make glaze of powdered sugar and milk . pour over rolls
