3 cups milk
1 cup water
4 eggs , separated
2 cups sugar
5 heaping tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 frozen pie crusts, baked

Directions:
Directions:
(Prick pie crust with a fork on sides and bottom and bake in oven just until done...set aside to cool)
1. Separate eggs - put yolks in a bowl and beat with a fork.
(put whites in refrigerator for use later for meringue topping)
2. Warm milk, water and egg yolks in a saucepan. Mix dry ingredients in a ziploc bag to shake and get any lumps out.
3. Slowly pour dry mixture into milk mixture. Stir constantly so that it won't stick and until thickened. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
4. Pour into cooled pie crusts and chill.

If topping with Meringue:
Beat eggs whites with sugar until stiff, top pie, and brown in oven for just a few minutes.
