1/2 c. blackberries
3/4 c. raspberries
1/4 c. port wine
1 c + 1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. all purpose flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder

350º Oven / Prep-Time 1.5 Hrs / Serves: 6 - 8 / Bake 50-55 minutes - until cake pulls from cake pan rim. Butter and flour 9" cake pan with removable rim. In bowl, gently mix blackberries, 1/2 c. raspberries, port wine, and 1 tbsp.sugar. Set aside to marinate. In another bowl, mix 1 c. sugar and 1/2 c. butter until well blended. Add eggs and mix until "fluffy". Add 1 c. four, baking powder and mix on high until cake batter is stiff. Pour batter into cake pan. Drain and save berry marinade. Evenly spoon berries and 2 tbsp. of the marinade over cake batter.
Ready for the oven. When cake is done, run thin blade between cake and cake pan -- let cake cool at least 10 minutes.
