3 pkg yeast
1 T sugar
1 c water
Let stand until foamy

Boil 1 potato & mash fine, save potato water
1 1/2 T salt
1/2 c sugar
1/2 lb shortening
5 cups warm water (potato water)

Directions:
Directions:
Stir above ingredients until shortening is melted.
Add about 8 cups flour and stir well.
Add yeast mixture.
Add enough flour to make a nice dough.
Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees
