1 1/2 c milk
1/4 c sugar
1 T salt
3 T shortening
Scald together, add water to 7/8 of pot until lukewarm.

Yeast Mixture:
1 c warm water
2 t sugar
yeast (Fleischman)
Mix & cover, let stand 10 minutes

Directions:

Add flour to milk mixture 1 cup at a time (about 3 or 4 cups)
Mix well. Add yeast mixture and mix. Keep adding flour until mixture doesn't stick to hands.
Knead real well.
