2 c sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c oil
4 c flour
1tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 c raisins
4 c water
1 c chopped small walnuts
1tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend oil with sugar, add eggs in a large bowl. Mix together dry ingredients and add to egg mixture. On the night before making these loaves, cook raisins down until there is only one c of liquid. Add this mixture, the nuts and the vanilla all together. The batter will be stiff. Fill loaf pans half full. Bake at 325 degrees until toothpick comes out clean. When cool, wrap in plastic wrap, then in foil and refrigerate.
