Cake:
2 1/2 cup cake flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter at room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Syrup:
3 Tablespoons water
3 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon Bourbon

Directions:

Cake:
Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in bowl. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat until blended. Beat in dry ingredients, alternating with milk.. Stir in chopped nuts. Bake at 350º for 35 - 40 minutes. Cool completely.

Syrup:
Heat water, sugar and Bourbon until sugar dissolves. Cool and spread over cake.
