2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Dissolve the shortening, salt and sugar in one cup boiling water in a bowl. Soften the yeast in one cup luke warm water (110º). When liquids in bowl is cooled to lukewarm add the yeast. Then add the beaten eggs, whole wheat and white flour. May not need all the flour. Work together into a small ball and store in a greased bowl, tightly covered in the refrigerator. Cut off a piece of dough as large as needed, when ready to make up some rolls. Let it stand at room temperature to warm a little, shape into rolls, cover and let them rise until tripled in bulk. This dough can also be used for coffee cake. Yield 6-8 dozen rolls. Bake at 400º
