1 large roasting chicken, thawed (5 lbs or so)
4 tsp salt
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper ***
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all seasonings in a small bowl. Clean chicken cavity well and pat dry with paper towels. Rub spice mixture onto chicken both inside and out. Make sure evenly distributed and down deep into skin. Place chicken in crockpot lightly sprayed with cooking spray. Start on high, then turn to low and continue cooking for 8 hours.

To roast in oven:
Roast, uncovered, at 250 degrees for 5 hours.
After the first hour, baste every half hour with pan juices.
***Can reduce cayenne if too spicy for kids
