8-10 large potatoes thickly sliced
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 soup can of milk
8-12 slices American cheese
salt and pepper to taste
dried minced onion to taste, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine both cans of mushroom soup with milk, mix well and set aside. Boil sliced potatoes until slightly tender and drain well. Put 1/2 of boiled potatoes in greased 9 x 13 inch pan; top with salt, pepper, dried onions, 1/2 cheese slices, and 1/2 of mushroom soup mixture. Top with remaining potatoes, salt, pepper, dried onions, remaining cheese slices and remaining mushroom soup mixture. Bake for 10 minutes. Stir well and continue baking for 30 minutes or until brown and bubbly on top.
