3 cups sugar
1 cup Crisco vegetable oil
4 eggs, beaten
1 can pumpkin
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
4 1/2 to 5 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2/3 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour coffee cans (4 coffee cans) or loaf pans (2 loaf pans).
Cream sugar and oil together. Add eggs and pumpkin; mix well. Sift all dry ingredients together in a separate bowl and add to pumpkin mixture alternately with water until blended. Don't overmix.
Pour into prepared pans about 1/2 full for coffee cans and divided for 2 loaf pans.

Bake approximately one hour at 350 degrees.

Tastes better the next day. Nana always made this for Thanksgiving and Christmas and Grandaddy would gripe because Mom always took it all to work before he could get any!!!!!
