1 pkg. Betty Crocker Super Moist Devils Food Cake mix
water, eggs, vegetable oil as called for on pkg.
1 bag (14 oz.) caramels
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 bag (1 c.) Semi-Sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Grease and lightly flour bottom and sides of 9 x 13 inch pan. Make cake mix as directed on pkg. Pour half into pan. Bake 25 minutes. Meanwhile, heat caramels and milk over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently until caramels are melted. (or place in microwave uncovered on high 2-3 1/2 minutes, stirring once or twice) Pour and spread caramel over warm cake in pan. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips. Spread with remaining batter. Bake 30 minutes. Run knife around sides of pan. Cool completely about 1 hour. Store covered at room temperature.
