1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. peanut butter
1 egg
1/2 c. brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Combine shortening, sugars, and peanut butter. Add the egg and vanilla. Add the flour, salt and the soda. Chill for a few hours and roll into walnut-size balls. Dip fork into a glass of water and make a criss-cross pattern on dough ball. Bake 8-10 minutes or until done.
