1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup walnuts
1 Tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 Tablespoon melted butter.
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shortening.
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine and set aside: 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup walnuts, 1 Tablespoon flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 Tablespoon melted butter. Sift into bowl: 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cut in: 1/4 cup shortening. Combine: 1 beaten egg and 1/2 cup milk. Add to flour mixture and stir until moist.
Grease a 9x9 pan. Spoon in batter and top with nut mixture from step 2.Bake 20 minutes
