- 1 box farfalle or penne pasta, cooked al dente. Rinse in cool water and drain. Toss with a bit of olive oil to keep from sticking.

- 1 bunch asparagus, cut into 2-inch pieces. Blanch in boiling hot water for 2 mins. Drain and set aside.

- 1/2 cup chopped roasted bell peppers. Just grab the jar of red and yellow ones at the market. It'll save you time from roasting them yourself.

- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil.

- 1/4 cup grated romano cheese. They should sell this at the market.

- Balsamic dressing. Use the Newman's or Trader Joes brand balsamic salad dressing.

- salt and pepper to taste

Toss pasta, veggies, and basil together. Add cheese and dressing. Salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with a few whole basil leaves and add a bit more romano cheese on top.
