Ingredients:  
1 can (15 oz.) black beans, cooked (you can substitute any type of bean)
1 can (4 oz.) green chilies, chopped, undrained (or 2 oz. jalepenos)
1 large onion, diced
1 cup bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup cornmeal
1 clove garlic, minced
Dash of salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Place beans in blender or food processor to obtain mashed consistency. Place beans in mixing bowl and add the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly together. Form patty mixture into burger size patties. Add 1 T. olive oil to frying pan and heat. Place patties in pan and fry each side until heated and lightly browned. Serve on bun with your favorite toppings. Makes 5 servings.
