3 Tbsp. dill seed
2 Tbsp. pickling spice
1 large or 2 small bay leaves
4 lbs. cucumbers, quartered lengthwise
1/4 c. canning salt
4 cloves of garlic, peeled
1 c. distilled, white vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Place dill seed, garlic, pickling spice and bay leaf in the bottom of sterilize, glass gallon jar. Arrange cucumbers in jar.

In a nonreaction saucepan, heat vinegar, water and canning salt until mixture boils. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Pour brine over cucumbers. Cover with lid and store in refrig. Can eat in a few days.
