1 c. Quick Quaker Oats
2 c. Boiling water
1 T. Crisco
1 t. Salt
1/2 c. Molasses
1 t. sugar
1/2 c. Lukewarm water
Yeast cake (2 1/4 tsp yeast)
4 1/2 c. flour, sifted


Directions:
Directions:
Mix together oatmeal, boiling water, sugar, crisco, salt and molasses and let cool.

Disolve yeast cake in 1/2 cup of lukewarm water and add to mixture.

Beat in flour and let rise in a bowl. Beat down then let rise again. Beat down and pour into 2 greased and floured bread pans. Let rise again then bake.

Bake for 10 minutes at 425º then reduce heat to 350º for 45 minutes.
