1/4 cup raw brown rice
1 teaspoon sea salt
6 slices of thick cut bacon-cut into 1/2 inch pieces
3/4 cup chopped onion
1 10-ounce package frozen black-eyed peas
2 cups water
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
crackers and chip

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan, cook the bacon pieces. Remove with slotted spoon and drain, reserving to add later. Add onion to bacon drippings in saucepan, cooking until tender. Add frozen black-eyed peas, water and sea salt. Cover and cook over medium heat for 25-30 minutes, until brown rice is tender. Puree mixture in blender. Add vinegar and cayenne pepper. If mixture appears too thick for dipping, add a little bit of hot water, stirring. Heat. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon pieces. Serve with crackers and chips.
