2 Tbsp of salad oil
1 cup green or other pepper (chopped)
1 cup Onion (chopped)
1 Tbsp minced garlic
2 Tsp salt and pepper to taste
1 Tsp hot sauce (favorite)
2 Tsp (or more) Worcestershire sauce
1/4 Teaspoon Thyme or Marjoram or both
3 cups water and 1 1/2 cups uncooked rice
1 cup cubed chicken or turkey
1 dozen large shrimp
1 cup cubed ham
1 cup pepperoni or other sausage
1 small can mushrooms

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil and cook peppers, onion, and garlic until tender. Stir in seasonings and water and simmer for 10 minutes. Mix in rice and meats. Cook covered over low heat for 25 minutes or until rice is done. Add mushrooms with a little of their liquid. Cook about 5 minutes longer.
