Hearts of Romaine, washed and chopped
avocado
strawberries
chopped, toasted walnuts
crumbled goat cheese

Dressing: 1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup canola oil
5 TB red wine vinegar
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dry mustard
2 TB sugar
coarsely ground black pepper to taste
2 tsp chopped parsley (dried)
2 cloves garlic, crushed

Combine the olive oil, canola oil and wine vinegar, sour cream, salt, dry mustard, sugar, pepper, parsley, and garlic in a jar with a tight fitting lid. Cover and shake well. Store in fridge. Makes about 1 and 1/2 cups.

Salad amount is for however many you are serving. A little of the dressing goes a long way!

You can substitute the kind of cheese and/or nuts you prefer. The dressing is a refreshing change from balsamic, but still light and tangy.
