A vanilla pudding recipe to die for and adaptable to any flavor you choose.

3 cups milk
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract


Directions:
Directions:
In double boiler, scald 2 2/3 cups of the milk. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch, sugar and salt with remaining 1/3 cup milk. Whisk together till well blended then add to scalded milk and cook in double boiler over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and smooth. Continue cooking vanilla pudding for about 5 minutes to thoroughly cook cornstarch. Cool vanilla pudding slightly; stir in vanilla and pour into serving dishes. Vanilla pudding recipe serves 6.
