2 c. flour
11/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. crisco
2 oz. red food color
1 t. salt
1 T. cocoa
3 t. vanilla
1 T. vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening real we;;/ Add eggs and beat. Sift flour, salt, and coca 3 times. Add soda with the buttermilk. Add vanilla and cake color. Beat. Put soda in vinegar; mix it and fold in. Do not stir.

Put in 2 greased but not floured 9" pans.

Bake at 350º for 35-40 minutes.
