One package of Bretton crackers
1 cup margarine or butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 bag of chocolate chips
sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Pre heat oven to 400º. Line a cookie sheet with tin foil. Place the Breton crackers flat on the cookie sheet. Mix together one cup of margarine and one cup of brown sugar. Bring to a boil. Let boil for one minute, stirring constantly. Pour the mixture over the crackers. Put in oven for five minutes.
Take out of oven and once the bubbles subside spread the chocolate chips on top. Sprinkle almonds on top. Cool in the fridge for a couple of hours then break apart.

I have made this recipe several times for different occasions. You can use different flavours of chocolate chips and toppings to change the look and taste. At Christmas I often use white chocolate chips and crushed candy canes on top.
