4 slices bacon, cut up
3 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 large onion (substitute 1 tbsp minced onion)
1 stalk celery chopped
4 cups half n half
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tbsp flour
1 (8 1/2) oz can cream style corn
2 (7 1/2) oz cans minced claims

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan cook bacon til crisp. Drain bacon reserving 3 tbsp drippings in pan. Set bacon aside. Add chopped potatoes, onion, celery, and juice from clams to bacon drippings.
Cover and cook over low heat about 20 minutes or til potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in half n half, salt, and pepper. Bring mixture to boiling. Add corn & clams. Cook another 5 minutes. Use Granny's Roux to thicken (see recipe).
Add bacon right before serving.
