3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 cup shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour and salt. Cut in shortening with pasty blender until the size of small peas. Store tightly covered in cupboard. Keeps forever.

To make crust: Add 5 - 8 tbsp. ice water and use 2 cups crust mix for bottom crust and 1 3/4 cups crust mix for top crust. Stir gently with fork, adding ice water as needed to make mixture workable.

Recipe makes a generous 9 or 10" pie.
